We are looking to buy the church and land as it is located currently as a weekender to renovate for family and friends (hopefully for a project this summer) if we can get it for the right price.
This will also give us an idea of the local area and tradesman working rurally and build relationships for building the lake house.
Will keep you all posted.

ReplyDeleteFour years ago I bought 58 acres with two pre Civil War log cabins on it. No utilities. I'm still struggling to figure out how to deal with the terrible condition of the cabins. But I love the peace of having all that land around me. It is so quite I can hear the flies buzz. I would do it all again because being away from other people is the most heavenly of locations. It gives me the peace that passes all understanding.
